Who we are
MaxMyPay by Rolejitsu is operated by General Counsel Solutions LLC, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at support@maxmypay.com for any privacy question.
What we collect and why
- Account data (name, email, login credentials or Google sign-in identifier) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Career data (job title, seniority, years of experience, skills, location and target cities, current and target compensation, resume text, links you choose to share such as LinkedIn, job descriptions and offer details you paste) — to produce your valuation, marketability score, metro comparisons, role matches, tailored resumes and offer analyses. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Usage and device data (pages viewed, features used, feature usage counts, approximate location from IP address, browser and device identifiers, log data) — to operate the service, meter plan limits, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages — to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Marketing preferences — to send product updates if you opt in. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
- Billing records (plan, subscription status, transaction identifiers) — to give you the access you paid for and meet legal and accounting obligations. Card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your resume or profile with recruiters or employers unless you explicitly ask us to.
Who we share it with
- Service providers and subprocessors — cloud hosting and database, authentication, AI model providers that generate valuations, resumes, matches and offer analyses from your inputs, job-listing search providers, analytics and error monitoring, and email delivery. They act on our instructions under contract.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law, and an acquirer in a merger or acquisition.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Retention
We keep account and career data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 12 months after you close it so you can reactivate. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 6–7 years). After that, data is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your profile content at any time from within the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port or object to our use of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Email support@maxmypay.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also complain to your supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls so your records are only readable by your account, least-privilege access for staff, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences; these are required for the service to work. We use limited analytics and error-reporting storage to understand product usage and diagnose faults. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though essential cookies are needed to sign in.
Changes
We will update this notice as the product changes and will tell you about material changes in the app or by email.
